What role does nutrition and fitness play in your life? -- What year are you in school and what school do you go to?
As an ex-national athlete, fitness has always been a central part of my life. In high school, I trained at the rink for three hours a day, five days a week, straight after school. That level of structure taught me discipline and consistency, but transitioning from daily training to a more self-directed routine in college wasnāt easy. Going to the gym became my way of maintaining that structure. Now, I aim to lift or engage in aerobic activity at least three times a week. Iāve also convinced my roommates to join me for weekly runs, and we like to go on hikes in our free time.
For me, nutrition supports that consistency. I focus on fueling my body in a way that keeps my energy steady for workouts, dance practices, and long days on campus. But I donāt believe in extremes such as excessive dieting or cutting sweets out. If I miss a workout or have a cheat day, I donāt overcompensate. I just reset and keep going. Fitness is something Iāve learned to integrate into my lifestyle rather than treat as a phase.
