Can you describe a situation where you successfully increased customer engagement and loyalty?

When I worked at my first job, I was a very friendly worker. I would often compliment peoples decisions and choices in their food orders, and I would even suggest things. For an example, "Oh, I usually have this flavor with the peanut butter sauce." I make suggestions through casual conversations.

Tell me about a time you had to approach and engage with strangers—how did you break the ice and keep the interaction positive?

As I am starting college, I am getting to know plenty of new people. A time in particular was when I complimented a persons clothing and, being that we were at the same event, used this compliment to segue into a lengthy conversation where we got to know one another.
