Describe the way your favorite song makes your feel

Silver Springs by Fleetwood Mac makes me feel like I’m standing in the middle of a quiet road at dusk, the sky washed in this soft lavender, gray, waiting for someone who isn’t coming back but still hoping they might. The song hits like a wave you didn’t see coming, warm at first, then cold around the edges. The harmonies feel like headlights passing over you, that flicker of being seen for one second and then swallowed back into darkness. There’s something almost ghostly about it, like memories brushing past your shoulder. It’s full of that bittersweet ache where you can practically feel the air shift. Like the moment before rain, when everything smells like storms and old promises. It’s nostalgic in a way that sits in your throat, heavy but beautiful, like flipping through old photos you forgot you still cared about. It’s one of those songs that drags every feeling to the surface and holds it up to the light, soft but sharp at the same time.

Do you play or study music? if so, elaborate.

Yes! I play piano. I’m not super formal about it, but I’ve been playing on and off for years and use it a lot when I’m writing songs or figuring out chord progressions. It helps me understand the structure of a track and experiment with melodies when I’m making my own music. It’s more of a creative tool for me than something I study academically, but it definitely shapes the way I hear and think about music.
