Interview Questions
My Wellnest Consulting
Social Media Content Manager

How do you define and measure success for a social media account?
I define success by how well a social media account meets its specific goals—whether that's increasing brand awareness, building a community, driving engagement, or generating leads. For My Wellnest Consulting, success would likely mean creating meaningful connections with an audience that values wellness, mental health, and personal growth. To measure success, I focus on both quantitative and qualitative metrics: Engagement rate – likes, comments, shares, saves—these show how well the content is resonating. Follower growth – not just the number, but the quality and relevance of new followers. Reach and impressions – to track how far the content is spreading. Click-throughs and conversions – especially for call-to-actions like signing up for a newsletter, downloading a guide, or booking a consultation. Community feedback – comments, DMs, or shares that show emotional connection or trust in the brand. I also use platform insights and tools like Instagram Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and scheduling tools like Later or Buffer to track these metrics regularly. Most importantly, I analyze the data in context—what type of content worked, what time performed best, and how it aligns with our bigger goals—and adjust the strategy accordingly.

Can you walk us through a successful social media campaign you've managed in the past?
"While I haven’t led a full-scale social media campaign yet, I’ve worked on content planning and engagement strategies for small projects. For example, I helped create a week-long series of wellness tips on Instagram for a local wellness coach. I researched trending formats like carousels and short Reels, designed the visuals in Canva, and scheduled the posts to go live at optimized times. We saw increased engagement compared to previous posts, and followers started saving and sharing the content more. I also tracked the insights to learn what types of posts were performing best. That experience gave me hands-on practice in managing content and understanding audience behavior. If I were to run a full campaign at My Wellnest Consulting, I’d focus on something like a 21-day mental wellness journey—using daily micro-content, stories, and community check-ins—to build engagement and trust. I’m excited to take on a campaign from start to finish and apply my growing skills in a more structured way.

How do you stay updated on the latest social media trends and incorporate them into content strategies?
To stay updated on the latest social media trends, I use a combination of active monitoring and industry resources. I follow key trend-reporting platforms like Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Social Media Today, and HubSpot. I also stay connected with creator communities on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and LinkedIn to observe emerging content styles, challenges, and engagement patterns in real time. Once I identify a trend, I assess whether it aligns with our brand voice, audience preferences, and business objectives. For My Wellnest Consulting, which focuses on wellness and personal growth, I would adapt relevant trends in a way that feels authentic and adds value—whether that’s using trending audio for a mindful message on Reels, or leveraging a popular challenge to promote mental wellness tips. Incorporating trends strategically means more than just following what’s viral—it's about translating cultural moments into engaging, brand-aligned content that resonates with the community while maintaining consistency and professionalism.
