Walk me through an automated email or DM flow you have built from scratch. What platform did you use and what did it trigger off of?
I built a simple automated email flow using Mailchimp for a fitness-related audience. The flow was triggered when a user signed up through a form or showed interest in fitness content. The sequence started with a welcome email, followed by value-based emails like workout tips and consistency advice, and then moved into engagement emails with calls to action. I also included a re-engagement trigger if users stopped interacting, sending reminders or fresh content to bring them back. The goal was to keep users engaged, build trust, and gradually guide them toward taking action.

Which tools do you prefer for automating email campaigns and why?
I prefer tools like HubSpot, Klaviyo, and Mailchimp depending on the use case. HubSpot is great for all-in-one automation with CRM integration and AI-powered personalization, while Klaviyo is ideal for Shopify-based businesses due to its strong ecommerce integration and advanced segmentation. Mailchimp is useful for its simplicity and AI-assisted content creation, especially for smaller campaigns. I choose tools based on their ability to automate workflows, segment audiences effectively, and use AI to personalize and optimize campaigns at scale.

How would you use AI to improve a Shopify customer journey?
I would use AI to personalize and automate the entire customer journey on Shopify. This includes using AI tools to recommend products based on user behavior, automate abandoned cart recovery emails, and segment customers for targeted email campaigns. I would also integrate AI chatbots to handle customer queries instantly and use data analytics to track user behavior, allowing continuous optimization of the shopping experience and marketing strategies.
