Why are you passionate about reproductive rights and Hey Jane's mission?
I’m passionate about reproductive rights because everyone deserves the freedom to make choices about their own body without shame or barriers. Growing up in a community where these conversations were often silenced made me realize how critical access, education, and support really are. Hey Jane’s mission to provide safe, judgment-free care meets people where they are—and that kind of compassion and accessibility is exactly what we need more of in healthcare.

Can you describe a time when you had to promote a sensitive topic in a public setting? -- How would you approach a situation where an attendee is hesitant to take a condom?
As Director of Events for my sorority, I’ve helped organize wellness and education events where we’ve promoted topics like sexual health and consent. I’ve learned that the key is to create a safe, non-judgmental space. If someone is hesitant to take a condom, I’d keep it casual—maybe say something like, “No pressure—just here if you need one!” It’s about normalizing the conversation without making it awkward, and letting people feel in control of their choices.
