What social media platform do you find most effective for product promotion?

I find Instagram to be most effective for product promotion because of the diverse types of users. Users on Instagram are of all ages, which opens your product promotion to the largest number of people possible. I think effective social media design on Instagram makes for consistent product promotion, particularly because of how users can clearly see the thumbnail of the post just by clicking on Pacifica's profile. Instagram also offers several options for content: reels, posts, and stories. This way, word about the product can be achieved in three different ways rather than one.

How would you creatively showcase a new beauty product in-store?

I would creatively showcase a new beauty product in-store with a tactic that's under-appreciated when it comes to consumer consumption—simplicity. Often, brands underestimate the power of "simplicity". But the word "simplicity" doesn't have to be associated with "boring", and should instead be associated with "powerful". In stores, I would create a typographic banner that lists the product's name, brand, and purpose. The statement would be short, but enticing, so that people from afar can easily read it when they walk into a beauty store. I would also consider using a creative headline or question for the product. Using the Lip Butter Creams as an example, I'd choose "Want your lips as smooth as butter? Look here." to be above the in-store display. It's a simple phrase that pays tribute to the new product and captures consumers' attention instantly. My main goal would be to make sure the showcase is memorable, but modern, with eye-catching colors and mesmerizing photography.

How do you approach maintaining brand consistency in your designs?

To maintain brand consistency in my designs, I like to create a general "theme" for all the posts that uses similar fonts, colors, and photography from the brand. When it comes to branding, consistency is key. The brand's name should be instantly recognizable through the captivating aesthetic of the posts. This theme, of course, would be captivating and unique to the brand's competitors. My main goal in this process is to ensure that the brand's vision and mission are exemplified while also designing with the customers in mind. There should be an equal balance between consistency, brand identity, and appeal for the consumer.
