What beauty brands do you believe are doing well on TikTok and why?

I think several beauty brands are doing well on TikTok because they create content that feels authentic and native to the platform rather than traditional advertising. For example, brands like Rare Beauty, e.l.f Cosmetics, and Fenty Beauty have built strong communities through relatable content, influencer partnerships, user generated content and product demonstrations. Celebrity founded brands often have an advantage because they start with strong brand awareness and an exisiting audience. However, I think long-term success on TikTok comes from consistent engagement, storytelling, educational content, before and after results, and encouraging customers and creators to share their experiences. The brand that perform best make their content feel genuine, entertaining, and trustworthy rather than overly promotional.

What is your execution process for creating and posting content?

My execution process starts with researching trends, viral sounds, competitor content, and topics that align with the brand's audience. Once I identify content opportunities, I brainstorm ideas and create a simple content plan with hooks, key talking points, and calls to action. Then I film and edit the content, making sure the first few seconds are engaging since audience retention is critical on TikTok. before posting, I optimize the video with an engaging caption, relevant hashtags, and trending sounds when appropriate. I schedule or post the content at the best times for audience engagement and monitor performance after it goes live. I track metrics such as views, watch time, engagement, shares, and comments to understand what resonates with the audience. I then use those insights to refine future content and continuously improve performance.

How do you stay updated on TikTok trends?

I usually spend time on TIktok everyday and pay attention to what's gaining traction on the ForYou page. I follow creators and brands, save interesting trends, and keep an eye on trending sounds and hashtags. I also look at engagement metrics to understand why certain content is performing well. The most important thing for me is figuring out which trends fit the audience I'm trying to reach rather than jumping on every trend that becomes popular.
