Tell us about a time you helped promote, organize, or grow something on campus. What did you actually do?
Since I am the freshman representative for PAKSA, whenever we have events planned I spread the word to anyone I see beforehand and make sure as many people as possible are aware about it. I check up with the people that I reach out to so I can make sure if they are able to come or not, and if they aren't I make sure to let them know about our next event so they stay informed.

How do you stay involved on-campus?
I stay involved on-campus by going to different events such as club meetings, fraternity meetings, attending events held for students and overall trying to stay on campus and out of my dorm most days. I also like to follow the instagram accounts of Virginia Tech so I am informed about different events that are being held.

How comfortable are you with in-person outreach (tabling, talking to students you don’t know, classroom announcements, events)? Please Describe any experience.
I am very comfortable with in-person outreach. I am currently a freshman in college and also the freshman representative for PAKSA (Pakistani Student Alliance) at Virginia Tech, and part of my role in this club is to reach out to other freshman students and encourage them to come to club meetings. I have also been learning how to network since I am a business major and this includes going to various business events, joining different clubs, and I am also in the process of joining a business fraternity.
