what's a creative way you would lead sampling efforts both on and off campus?

A creative way I would lead sampling efforts is by turning them into experiences rather than just handouts. On campus, I’d connect sampling to Caribbean Student Association events and tabling days by creating themed moments, like a “Pop of Color” or “Glow Station” where students can try products, take photos, and learn about the brand in a fun, low-pressure way. Pairing sampling with music, color, and interactive elements makes people want to stop, engage, and share. Off campus, I’d extend sampling to community-centered spaces such as cultural events, pop-up gatherings, or student meetups where Caribbean and multicultural communities already come together. I’d encourage attendees to test products on different skin tones, share reactions, and tag the brand on social media for a chance to be featured. By making sampling feel like a mini event or celebration rather than a promotion, it creates a memorable connection and helps the brand reach people authentically.

How would you engage your audience to promote ColourPop products?

As President of the Caribbean Student Association at Hunter College, I engage with a very active and diverse on-campus community. Our organization hosts colorful, high-energy, and creative events that celebrate Caribbean culture, and ColourPop fits naturally into that space. We have several vibrant events planned where ColourPop products could be incorporated through themed makeup looks, event-day glam, and content creation that highlights bold color and self-expression. The Caribbean community is incredibly diverse, so showcasing ColourPop on a wide range of skin tones would be a big part of how I promote the brand. I would feature products in real-life campus settings, highlight how different shades perform across complexions, and create interactive content around event looks, tutorials, and behind-the-scenes moments. By combining ColourPop’s playful, colorful identity with our cultural events and student-led energy, I can promote the brand in an authentic way that celebrates inclusivity, creativity, and community.

what do you love about colourpop?

I’ve been using ColourPop since 2014, so the brand is very near to my heart. I still have the one-year anniversary Super Shock Shadow just for the nostalgia. I’ve always loved how bold and vibrant the products are and how they encouraged me to experiment and stand out. I even wore the Blue Ya Mind mascara nonstop for an entire year, it was definitely a moment and always sparked conversations whenever I wore it.
