How will you describe a scent for your viewers?
I like to describe scents using both notes and food imagery so viewers can really picture what it smells like. For example, in a recent body care TikTok, I described a passionfruit body wash as smelling like fruity sorbet. I’ve noticed that food comparisons catch people’s attention and make scents easier to imagine. I also use words like luxurious and classy when the scent gives that expensive, elevated feel. My goal is to help viewers connect the scent to a real-life experience so they know exactly what vibe to expect.

What social media platforms do you prefer for product promotion and why?
I prefer to use TikTok; this is the platform I am most familiar with, and I feel like I have the most reach on. I also feel like the type of content I create is most searchable on this platform.

How would you create content that stands out for a retail brand?
I would create content that feels like big sister advice rather than an ad. As an RA, I’d share ScentMatch as a safe, dorm-friendly way to make your room smell expensive. I’d film simple TikToks like “From your RA. If you want your dorm to smell good, get this,” and show how the plug-in works where candles can’t. I’d also make Walmart discovery videos, first-impression clips, and everyday study vlogs where ScentMatch naturally appears in my routine. The goal is to make the product feel real and part of normal college life. I'd also love to include them in a "clean my dorm with me" TikTok where I display the product as the "finishing touch" to getting my dorm clean and smelling great.
