I believe I’d be a great asset to the drew house team because of my eagerness to show up and work in a community that expresses creativity, inclusiveness, and authenticity. I value being a part of a team, and I love learning something from everyone in the room. As a passionate creative writer, I’ve explored facets of the fashion industry for assignments throughout undergrad—more specifically during a magazine writing course. One of my favorite pieces that I wrote was an analysis of the significance of the Met Gala within pop culture and the fashion industry. This past Met represented a revival for an industry so heavily impacted by the adversity of the past two years. It also presented a unique opportunity to showcase the drew house brand with Justin Bieber on the red carpet. I’ve admired drew from its inception but, even more so, appreciated its evolution. I think drew represents the importance of creating something larger than just one person and highlights the necessity of community.
