How do you shop sustainably today?

While I may not always be able to afford a sustainable piece, I have learned that sustainability can also be in my consumption habits and how long I keep a piece in my closet. I do not excessively purchase clothes, and pretty much my whole life, I have worn my clothes until they are unwearable or I am no longer able to fit them. I shop more for my wardrobe needs than my wants. I have also recently taken the time to change my mindset around prices of items and my willingness to spend. For example, now I would spend $80 on a single pair of basic leggings that were made well, ethically, and sustainably; and would therefore last longer, than if I could get 4 pairs of leggings for $80 that would last half the time.
