How do you ensure your design work aligns with a brand’s tone and audience?
I’ve learned from creating brand identities that keeping a consistent tone across all elements is key. For example, when designing a family of visuals for a brand, I make sure colors, fonts, and illustration styles all feel connected and reflect the same personality. It’s about keeping it simple and cohesive so the audience immediately recognizes the brand.

Can you share examples of custom map or illustrative design work you’ve done?
I’ve created custom, detail-oriented designs for both personal and client projects that required a similar skill set to custom city maps — balancing aesthetic appeal with clarity. For example, I’ve designed clean, organized layouts for business cards and flyers, produced vector-based illustrations in Adobe Illustrator, and built functional product concepts I’ve also developed creative visuals for my own pet brand, combining graphic illustration with branding elements to tell a story visually.

Have you ever sold something online or in person? Share an example, big or small. Talk about what you learned from that selling experience
Yes — my most direct selling experience was upselling in person while working at a doggy spa. Because of my background in pet care, I could confidently recommend add-on services or products that I knew would genuinely benefit each dog, whether it was a special grooming treatment, a dietary upgrade, or an enrichment activity. What I learned from that experience is that selling works best when it’s not pushy—it’s about listening to the client, understanding their needs, and making suggestions that feel personal and valuable. When people see you care about their pet’s wellbeing, they’re more open to your recommendations, and that trust leads to repeat business.
