Deep Blue.
Content Creator for Sustainable Streetwear Brand

If you were hired, how would you approach building out a content plan for Deep Blue?
If hired, I would build a content plan for Deep Blue by blending trend-driven posts, fit checks, and creative concepts that highlight the brand’s sustainable mission. I would experiment with short-form formats like reels, tutorials, and behind-the-scenes clips while engaging directly with the community to encourage user-generated content. Using a monthly content calendar, I would align posts with product launches, seasonal trends, and cultural moments, tracking performance to refine strategies. My goal would be to create consistent, engaging content that grows brand awareness, connects with audiences, and inspires a loyal community.

What do you think is more important for a brand: going viral or building consistent community engagement? Why?
Building consistent community engagement is absolutely more important for a brand than going viral because in the long-term, a brand's relationship with its customers is what drives sales. A viral moment is unsustainable unless the brand is able to leverage it for conversions. Essentially, a brand can go viral, but that may not mean sales will increase by much or by long. Only by identifying and aligning with the target audience through consistent efforts can a brand last in this market where virality is so random.

Can you give an example of a piece of jewelry you tested in the past and the insights you provided for improvement?
I tested a set of beaded necklaces for a friend’s small business. I wore them throughout the day and during light activity to see how secure and comfortable they felt. I noticed that some clasps would occasionally loosen, and a few beads rubbed against the skin uncomfortably. I provided feedback suggesting stronger clasps and smoother bead finishes. After these adjustments, the necklaces felt more comfortable, stayed in place better, and were more durable for everyday wear.
