Can you share a successful sales-driving experience you've had in the past?
I currently work part time at a hot yoga studio and we recently opened up a location in Coral Gables. We planned an outreach day before our opening and had a pop up collaboration with a health restaurant! As people came by I made sure to enthusiastically let them know about our studio and the free month of classes that we offer. I connected personally with each person, explaining the benefits of hot yoga/HIIT and how the free month could fit into their lifestyle. My enthusiasm and ability to quickly build rapport helped drive 20 sign-ups in just 1 hour and half and I successfully sold a membership to a customer! With that, I reached my manager’s goal for the day. He acknowledged me and ensured that I would be given the sales-driven role once our studio opened and I am doing that to this day!

How do you approach engaging with potential customers at events?
The best way to sell a product is to know your customer. I always try to get a grasp on who I’m engaging with and seeing how the product can serve the customer. Koia has the benefit of making a product that can help so many people- high protein for active individuals, portable for those who are on the go; plant-based for vegans or lactose intolerant people; and tasty for literally anyone looking for a fun drink.
One of the ways I do this is by asking open-ended questions and actively listening to the responses. Luckily for me, I am a vegan athlete and have had Koia’s drinks before so I can come for a personal and relatable experience. By showing genuine enthusiasm and building trust, I can emphasize the brands mission and create lasting impressions that drive sales!
