Can you share an example of a successful event you organized in the past and how it impacted someone else?
In my freshman year of college, my executive fellowship team and I hosted an exam send off program. At the time, it was a fairly new event, and so getting it off the ground was a bit tricky to do. As the club secretary, I was responsible for drafting budgets, writing to the university technological department requesting audio and visual equipment, informing the facilities department of our plan to use a particular campus space, and requesting sponsorships from a few stores. The purpose of the event was to relieve students of the stress they were experiencing while preparing for the upcoming final exams because let's face it, finals season is rough. My team and I worked hard to get everything together from inviting guest speakers to organizing music playlists, and acquiring food and drinks for the attendees. The program was a success due to the awareness we brought to it using flyers, videos, and posts on our social media. There was a high turnout and many people commented on how much they enjoyed themselves. A few new members also joined our school club and have become regulars. Because of this success, we host the event every semester right before finals.
