Can you describe a time you successfully persuaded someone to try a new product or service?

While promoting the ‘Home for College’ gig program at UF, I noticed participation was lower than expected because many students weren’t aware of it or weren’t sure it was worth their time. I reached out through social media, student groups, and in-person conversations, highlighting benefits like flexible hours, gaining experience, and extra income. I also shared testimonials from peers and personally guided students through the sign-up process. As a result, sign-ups increased noticeably.

How would you approach building relationships with new local vendors?

At UF, I would approach new vendor relationships by first understanding university policies and ensuring compliance. From there, I’d prioritize clear, respectful communication and start with small collaborations to build mutual trust. I’d focus on creating long-term partnerships that not only meet UF’s needs but also strengthen the university’s connection with the local Gainesville community.

Can you describe a previous experience where you provided helpful feedback on a product or service?

I provided feedback for a dog food container. I described how the container was great for keeping my dog’s food fresh and easy to access. I loved the sturdy lid that seals well to lock in freshness, and the handle makes it easy to carry and pour. One improvement I suggested was adding measurement markings on the side to help with portioning. Overall, a durable and practical container that I recommended.
