Campus Marketing Lead
Describe a time you took a leadership role in your community.
During Junior year of college I stepped into the role of Recruitment Chair for my sorority Phi Beta Chi. Within this role I was in charge of planning and executing a 6 week long recruitment process. I was responsible for weekly event planning, schedule coordination, and maintaining a thousand dollar budget. I upheld correspondence with 115 potential new members to keep everyone abreast with logistics. Additionally, the next year I was able to be New Member Education Chair. Within this role I create a 5 long week curriculum in order to teach out societies values. This included community service, mindfullness training, and in depth discussion about DEI efforts. I also piloted a new week named "girl boss week" that allowed new members to connect with alumni, networking workshops, linkedin photoshoots, and career panels.
Poparazzi
Product Testing Focus Group
If you were the marketing manager for Poparazzi, describe where you would focus the majority of your resources for a fall launch on your campus?
Hamilton College is comprised of a small and tight knit community. All students live on campus, so there are common locations that most people frequent. There are two campus cafes that are common stop, and there are often posters. I would place advertisements there. Additionally, I would contact popular publications (signature style, the spectator, the continental, and circle mag). These publications all have very active social media presences, so I would launch collabs with them to advertise on insta and launch profiles on the app. Finally, I would involve the Campus Activities Board to launch a competition on poparazzi during their annual "Feb Fest" this winter. Student can make their own winter theme pops in order to enter into a competition for a price. And there is nothing college students love more than free things!
