Female Founder World

Content Marketing & Event Intern

What's one content area of opportunity you'd first implement after starting this position?

One thing that I would do first in this role is attempt to make it more clear what Female Founder World stands for and attempts to promote as a company. On all of the brand's social media's there is the same bio, and while it is cute, it does not give interested people an actual view into what Female Founder World is. I would change this to be more specific, so people are able to get a better grasp of the company. In addition to this I think that a great way to create viewer engagement would be to do more in-depth highlights of the incredible women that have engaged with the company. Though there are many posts highlighting these women, I think that creating videos and Instagram slideshows that do not just talk about their businesses, but rather who they are as people, would appeal to viewers.

Please share any relevant past experience making you qualified for this role.

Last summer I was able to work for the Mehari Sequar gallery as one of their communications interns. In this role I was in charge of developing and writing “The Cultural Canvas,” a creative framework for publishing written works on the influence of Black art. In addition to this, I have helped content creators to grow and manage their audiences on social media for nine years. Lastly, during the school year I also work as a communications intern at Harvard's BGLTQ+ office where I help to maintain our social media presence.
