Interview Questions
Tattd
Research Intern for Tattoo Industry Marketing

What research methods do you find most effective for manual data collection?
I find a mix of platform research and structured collection tools to be most effective for manual data collection. I use Instagram, TikTok, Google Maps, and artist websites to identify relevant tattoo artists and influencers, then organize details in spreadsheets or Google Forms to keep information consistent and easy to review. Google Forms are especially helpful for collecting standardized information or responses during outreach, which makes tracking, comparing, and reporting data much more efficient.

How would you identify and approach tattoo artists and influencers for outreach?
I would start by identifying tattoo artists and influencers through platforms where tattoo culture is most active, like Instagram and TikTok, using location tags, style-specific hashtags, and engagement patterns to find artists who already have strong community trust. Because I have multiple tattoos and genuinely enjoy talking to artists, I’d approach outreach in a respectful, conversational way—acknowledging their work, understanding their style, and clearly explaining how Tattd could support their booking process rather than pitching it as generic promotion. I’d keep outreach personalized, organized, and relationship-focused so it feels collaborative, not transactional.

How do you ensure your feedback is honest and constructive?
I make sure my feedback is honest and constructive by grounding it in my real experience and being specific rather than vague. I focus on what genuinely worked, what could be improved, and why, so the feedback is useful and actionable. My goal is always to be respectful, clear, and thoughtful—highlighting strengths while offering suggestions that help the brand improve without losing its core identity.
