What do you believe makes an app popular at scale?
I believe the key to a successful app lies in its UX design, which should be meticulously crafted to foster user engagement and retention. Equally important is the value it offers, addressing specific needs or enhancing aspects of users' lives, such as alleviating boredom, providing reminders, facilitating exercises, or improving financial management. Additionally, reliability is paramount, necessitating seamless performance devoid of bugs or crashes. Compatibility across various devices is essential, ensuring accessibility to a broader audience. Moreover, fostering user engagement can lead to organic growth as satisfied users share the app with their social circles. Finally, effective marketing strategies are crucial in garnering visibility and attracting new users to the app.

What's your favorite brand right now & why?
I admire Apple's becuase of their current business strategy, particularly their genius approach. They cleverly entice customers to upgrade by offering mid-range priced products alongside more expensive ones. For instance, when purchasing an iPhone, the base model starts at $599, but for just $50 more, you can opt for a better color. However, realizing the limited storage capacity of the 64GB version, customers are nudged towards the 128GB model priced at $750, a mere $50 away from the Pro version. The lure of the Pro's features prompts customers to spend an additional $100 for the 128GB version, ultimately resulting in a $250 increase from their initial budget. Furthermore, the release of the Vision Pro was a strategic move targeting influencers rather than typical consumers, leveraging their influence for free advertising. This initial buzz sets the stage for the subsequent release of an 'economic' version, destined to sell out due to the hype generated by the flagship line.
