It's that calm, celebratory semester where everything finally can enjoy small traditions, winter makeup looks and time with the people you love.

I find Instagram and TikTok the most effective for beauty content. Instagram is perfect for high quality photos, cinematic reels, and curated visuals that highlight textures, finishes, and the overall aesthetic of a look. TikTok, on the other hand, is ideal for quick tutorials, wear-tests, GRWM videos, and real-time reactions that feel authentic and relatable. Together, both platforms allow creators to showcase beauty products in a way that’s both polished and real, reaching audiences that love storytelling as much as they love honest results.

To capture authentic moments during finals week, I’d focus on real, in-between moments that naturally test the longevity of makeup, early morning study sessions, rushing between classes, commuting in NYC, and late, night library breaks. I’d film short clips throughout the day showing how the makeup holds up through stress, long hours, and movement, highlighting close-ups, natural lighting, and minimal touch-ups. The goal would be to show longevity in a realistic way: makeup that still looks fresh after hours of studying, coffee runs, and real campus life.
