What’s your approach to balancing trending ideas within brand guidelines?

My approach to balancing trends with brand guidelines is basically mixing the best of both worlds: the fun, fast-paced energy of TikTok with the brand’s core identity. I think of trends as the vibe and the brand guidelines as the voice. My job is to make sure the vibe never drowns out the voice. If a trend fits perfectly with the brand’s personality, I dive in and make it feel natural—like the brand is part of the conversation. If a trend is a little chaotic or off-brand, I reshape it: adjust the tone, swap the audio, reframe the joke, or simplify the concept so it still feels relevant but stays true to the brand. I always ask: “How would this trend look if the brand itself was the creator?” That keeps the content culturally current and brand safe. It’s all about creativity with boundaries using trends as inspiration, not imitation.

How would you create engaging social content that connects with young singles?

To create engaging social content that connects with young singles, I’d focus on making content that feels relatable, funny, and rooted in real life moments. Young singles love content that feels like “omg that’s literally me,” so I’d use storytelling, quick skits, POV videos, and trending sounds to highlight the everyday experiences of dating, self-care, independence, and figuring life out. I’d mix humor with authenticity—like “POV: you’re single and romanticizing your life,” “things I learned the hard way,” or “dating green flags we’re not ignoring anymore.” Content that celebrates being single, confident, and self-focused always performs well because it makes people feel seen. I’d also create interactive moments (polls, “which one are you,” comment prompts) to spark conversation and build community. The key is content that helps young singles feel empowered, entertained, and connected—like they’re part of a bigger group all navigating the same feelings and experiences.

Why do you love Laneige?

I love Laneige not only because my platform is centered around skincare and beauty, but also because I naturally gravitate toward Korean brands. As someone who is half Korean, there’s a personal connection for me K-beauty has always represented innovation, quality, and intentional care, and Laneige is a perfect example of that. I’ve used their products for years, so I trust how well they work and how consistently they deliver results. What makes Laneige stand out is that it truly reaches everyone. Their products feel luxurious and high-performing, yet they’re still affordable and accessible. Whether it’s teens getting into skincare for the first time, young adults building routines, or older age groups looking for hydration and glow, Laneige fits across generations. It’s a brand that feels timeless and universal, which is why it’s so easy and authentic for me to share with my audience.
