As someone who is passionate about self expression and for genuine inclusivity within the makeup industry, especially as a woman with a darker skin tone, I understand the importance of representation without having to constantly advocate for it. I eagerly anticipate the chance to engage in a meaningful dialogue that can shape the future of beauty for diverse communities like mine. My eagerness to participate in this discussion is further fueled by my unique perspective. Having witnessed the persisting issue of colorism and the dearth of inclusive and accessible makeup options in predominantly Black regions, I am acutely aware of the damaging impact of an anti-Black rhetoric within the beauty industry. My firsthand experiences have underscored the pressing need for genuine representation and equitable access to beauty products that cater to the diverse needs of all skin tones.
