Interview Questions
JOVA
Business Development Intern (Health Food Startup)

How do you usually keep track of tasks, follow-ups, or deadlines when things are moving fast?
When things are moving fast, I use a mix of digital tools to stay on top of tasks and deadlines. Google Calendar helps me organize meetings, deadlines, and time blocks so I can visually plan my week. I also use Gemini and Gizmo to keep track of notes, quick thoughts, and task lists on the go — they’re great for capturing ideas or to-dos before they slip through the cracks. On top of that, I still love using Post-its for immediate priorities — having them in front of me helps me stay focused during busy days. This mix of tools lets me stay adaptable while making sure I don’t miss anything important.

Tell us about a time you helped something run more smoothly, or solved a problem on your own.
As an introverted person my socializing skills are below zero but I do am in a work-study program where I need to socialize, organize take people or give directions to places, so I would say that a time where I helped the most is when giving the opportunity to recommend apps, or giving directions or anything that I am asked in the moment.

What excites you about this role and working with JOVA?
What excites me most about this role at JOVA is the chance to be part of a mission-driven startup that’s making healthy, sustainable food more accessible. I’m passionate about both wellness and entrepreneurship as someone who is seeking for better wellness herself and better food habits, so the opportunity to contribute to a growing company that aligns with those values is incredibly motivating.
