How do you plan on promoting home from college to drive sign ups?

As a GRA, I would promote Home From College by weaving it into both my community programming and everyday interactions with residents. For example, I could host a career-focused program like “Building Your First Digital Portfolio,” where students not only learn how to showcase their skills but also create their Home From College profile on the spot. I would highlight how the platform helps students build professional experience outside the classroom by showcasing their skills, connecting with real opportunities, and preparing for internships or careers. To spark interest, I’d also partner with student organizations, career services, and multicultural groups to host short workshops or panels such as “How to Land Opportunities as a Student,” with sign-ups for Home From College integrated directly into the event. To reach students outside of programs, I’d use a mix of tabling, flyers with QR codes, and peer-to-peer promotion (through group chats, student ambassadors, and club announcements). To make it more engaging, I’d also consider running a sign-up incentive like a giveaway—for example, a Starbucks gift card or campus merch—for students who create a profile. Beyond events and promotions, I’d highlight the platform during one-on-one conversations, especially with residents seeking internships, part-time work, or career preparation. By connecting Home From College directly to their personal goals, I’d make sign-ups feel both meaningful and impactful.
