As a former Sweetgreen ambassador, I had to promote our menu launch in the fall by hosting an event for people to come try our new menu. I created a social media post and made copy of the flyers to put around campus so that people would attend the event. I had over 60 guests come in the end!

How do you stay updated on social media trends and changes in algorithms?

I stay updated on social media trends by following AD Age, looking at what sounds and videos are on the trending page for TikTok, and following content creators to see what they are doing to stay relevant.

Looking at the Instagram page, the vibrant colors catch my eye first. I like how the page has a cohesive theme and brand identity. The second thing that catches my eye is that the brand is very copy-heavy. This can be good because it educates people about the brand. To have less copy for people to still understand the brand, a post could be an action shot of someone using the product in real life. This way, there is less copy but still an understanding of who the brand is.
