Can you describe your experience with brand-focused graphic design?
My experience with brand-focused graphic design has been a core part of my journey since I started freelancing and interning in 2025, and it’s the area I’m most passionate about.
In my freelance work (August 2025 – present), the majority of my projects have centered on building complete brand identities. Out of five completed client projects, four were full brand identity developments. I took these from initial concept through to final implementation—defining visual systems, color palettes, typography, logo variations, and supporting assets. I used Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for the core visuals, Figma for style guides and mockups, and AI tools like SORA and Nano Banana to explore creative directions quickly. Clients included Hotel Booker (where I also delivered a UX/UI solution) and the Student Union of FCSIT at Helwan National University. I managed the entire process: client briefings, mood boards, iterative feedback rounds, and final delivery, always ensuring the identity felt cohesive, memorable, and aligned with the brand’s values.
During my internship at HAVAS Middle East (July – October 2025), I worked on social media content for established UAE-based brands including Elle & Vire, MUSE, and MG. The focus there was maintaining and extending existing brand guidelines—creating calendars of posts that stayed strictly consistent with each brand’s tone, colors, typography, and visual language. Working within a team of 8+ creatives taught me how to balance creative freedom with rigorous brand adherence in a fast-paced agency environment.
Beyond professional work, I’ve applied the same brand-thinking in leadership roles:
- As Head of Multimedia Committee at FLASHAT HU, I created the committee’s entire visual identity from scratch and wrote multimedia content guidelines that the whole team followed.
- As Head of Graphic Design Volunteers at the Egyptian Food Bank, I developed a full visual identity for the volunteering club while ensuring it aligned perfectly with the parent organization’s branding.
These experiences have given me a strong foundation in crafting visual systems that don’t just look good but actively communicate a brand’s personality and story. I love the strategic side—understanding the brand’s goals and audience, then translating that into visuals that feel authentic and impactful. I’m always eager to take on more brand identity projects, whether building one from the ground up or evolving an existing one.
