During the 2023-2024 school year, I had the privilege of working in the French and Italian Department as an undergraduate assistant. As a student who was taking many French classes at the time. I wanted to curate a space where students could learn and thrive in French and Italian culture. This meant both digitally and in-person, as the department had many social media platforms that weren’t being utilized prior to my employment. I was able to create digital media in Canva, develop a consistent posting schedule, and widen the audience using different marketing techniques I picked up along the way. Halfway through the semester I realized how much I enjoyed this position and it gave me an insight on what I wanted to in my career. Success in a role like this would upholding the core beliefs of the brand while being able to utilize my strengths to benefit the company. I would want to have fun in such a role, and I think that enjoyment and passion are a large part of success in general.
