In the summer and fall of 2024 (May-November) I was the Communication and Development Intern for Pro Seniors. Through this experience, I gained a lot of experience managing different social media platforms. I had full access and responsibility for uploading posts and other content to Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. I also collaborated with my supervisor on uploading content to our Youtube channel.

I stay updated with the latest social media trends and changes through Instagram and TikTok mainly. Specifically through the influencers and content creators that I follow on those apps.

Although the individuals (or influencers in this case) weren't huge on social media, they still highly impacted the community. My time as a Communication Intern for Pro Seniors allowed me to work on our "Seniors Who Rock" event. The objective of this event was to honor three senior citizens for their work over the years in the Cincinnati community as well as raise funds for Pro Seniors. I believe this experience relates to the prompt because the three people that we picked worked closely with Pro Seniors and had a strong connection to the community. We believed that they were the best-fit people to connect with our target audience authentically, help us reach our fundraising goals, and were able to give a true testimony to the great work Pro Seniors does. My involvement in this project was to advertise the occurrence of the event as well as help with the behind-the-scenes operations the day of.
