These roles require multiple 2-hour shifts each week and sometimes early mornings or weekends. Are you comfortable with that schedule, and how would you manage your time to stay consistent?
Yes, I’m comfortable with that schedule and understand the importance of consistency, especially in roles that involve in-person engagement. I’ve balanced demanding class schedules, internships, and extracurricular leadership roles before, so I’m used to managing my time efficiently. I rely on digital calendars and time-blocking to stay organized, and I make sure to plan ahead for early mornings or weekend shifts. If I commit to a schedule, I take it seriously and show up prepared whether it’s a weekday afternoon or a Saturday morning.

Can you describe a situation where you successfully increased customer engagement and loyalty?
At the Hypeach pop-up event, many guests were new to the brand, so I focused on building trust through personal connection. I made an effort to learn each visitor’s style preferences and recommend pieces that matched their vibe, not just what we were promoting most heavily. This led to longer conversations, more time spent at the booth, and even multiple try-ons. To deepen engagement, I encouraged them to follow Hypeach on Instagram for styling tips and exclusive discounts. I also captured behind-the-scenes content and tagged customers (with permission), making them feel part of the brand story. Several came back later in the day with friends or tagged us in their own content — a clear sign that they felt a connection. That mix of personalization, real-time content, and warmth helped turn first-time shoppers into brand fans.

Tell me about a time you had to approach and engage with strangers—how did you break the ice and keep the interaction positive?
During a Hypeach pop-up event in LA, I was responsible for engaging with walk-in customers, many of whom were unfamiliar with the brand. To break the ice, I’d compliment their outfit or ask if they were shopping for something specific. That casual, friendly approach usually opened the door to conversations about the brand’s mission, pieces, or even styling tips. I kept the energy upbeat and focused on making the interaction feel personal, not like a sales pitch. The more I listened, the more natural the conversation became. It was a great experience in creating genuine connections and representing the brand in a way that felt both fun and authentic.
