Describe the way your favorite song makes your feel

One of my favorite songs comes from the musical Cabaret, which also happens to be my favorite musical. The song, Cabaret (the title song of the musical) is sung by Sally Bowles as the musical comes to a close. It'll be sung a little differently depending on what production, but it typically goes something like this: Sally is singing about her impending doom as she slowly realizes that she has drunk herself to an early grave. This also comes with the caveat that it is 1939-ish Berlin, and the prospect for the future is looking increasingly grim. The song is hauntingly beautiful. It is terrifying as you listen to Sally come to a slow realization that she would rather live in the bliss of her death rather than stop drinking, or in the musical's broader case, leave Berlin as it collapses. Fun Fact: I love this song so much that I wrote a poem about it in my creative writing class!

Do you play or study music? if so, elaborate.

I am avidly involved in theatre, and I played the violin for 2 years, the guitar for 2, and the piano for 1. All of which at different points in my life and to varying degrees of affluence. I've been doing Technical work for shows since my sophomore year of high school, and have seen an abundance of shows.
