Can you share an example of a successful event you organized in the past and how it impacted someone else?

In high school, I was a part of an organization called the Sister Project. As a leadership member in the club, we created events that would bond the incoming eighth graders to high schoolers so that their transition into high school is easier. This was most beneficial because the school that I went to was K-12. The other leadership and I successfully put on fun events that promoted an attitude of sisterhood and encouragement. We painted, created body scrubs, played field games, and so much more. We spent hours planning and pairing up the eighth graders to an older sister, or mentor. We were told by our sponsoring teacher that we created the best events in years. I could see that the eighth graders were encouraged and that they felt more comfortable at the high school.

What is an example of when you went out of your way to provide an act of kindness from someone who is not an immediate friend or family member?

In my college town, unfortunately, there is a large population of homeless people. As often as I can, I go out and buy them a meal. There are too many people that are hesitant to speak to homeless people out of fear that they are dangerous, but everyone deserves to eat. More than that, my family and I create care packages with extra socks, oatmeal, tea, and other supplies to hand out to homeless people when we see them. Although it may not be much in the long run, I try to do as much as I can to make their lives better, even if it's just for a short while.
