When I helped to found TexasMomDesigns, we were using an outdated physcial (on-paper) inventory management style, but I soon converted that to an automated inventory management system linked to Microsoft Excel, allowing inventory data to become a much more efficient process, no longer requiring 5-10 man hours a week of physical inventory tracking.
