I would normally do some research into the company and their brand identity. Their website or social media platform is usually the first place to start as their work is targeted to their audience. This combined with any previous advertisements gives a good grasp of the company’s brand identity and audience. If there is no past work and is a new company, I would infer this information from the logo and the product before consulting someone at the company.
