Can you give an example of a detailed QA report you have created in the past?

In my recent Inventory Management project, I created a detailed QA report during the implementation of a new digital location logic and variance-management tool connected to the ERP system. After conducting shop-floor testing and validating stock movements (IN/OUT transactions), I identified a critical issue where certain components with zero quantity could not be processed correctly, creating discrepancies between physical stock and ERP data. In my QA report, I structured the document with a clear bug summary, system environment (ERP module and user role), step-by-step reproduction process, expected vs. actual behavior, screenshots of the transaction logs, and impact assessment on inventory accuracy and replenishment automation. I classified the issue as high severity due to its impact on traceability and production flow. Additionally, I included root cause analysis findings, highlighting a logic restriction in the system configuration, and proposed corrective actions. The report was shared with developers and production supervisors, and after implementation of the fix, I performed regression testing to validate data consistency and ensure inventory reliability was restored. This structured approach improved stock accuracy and reduced future transaction errors.

How do you approach identifying and documenting bugs in digital products?

I approach QA in a structured, user-centered, and results-driven way. I begin by understanding the product objectives and mapping the full user journey to design comprehensive functional and end-to-end test scenarios, including edge cases and data validation checks—especially for systems connected to ERP or operational workflows, which aligns with my background in industrial engineering and digital process optimization. During testing, I identify functional defects, UI/UX inconsistencies, performance issues, and data integrity gaps. I document each issue clearly with step-by-step reproduction details, expected vs. actual results, severity level, screenshots, and business impact to ensure fast resolution by developers. Beyond bug reporting, I create concise improvement reports highlighting recurring issues, usability enhancements, and prioritization based on operational risk and user experience, ensuring continuous product improvement and high-quality digital delivery.
