💻 A GIG that fits into college life (and pays off later)
The middle of the semester gets busy fast. By October, your calendar is probably already full, and adding professional experience can feel impossible when you're also trying to stay on top of classes.
GIGs make it easier to start building experience during the school year because the work is project-based. And yes, you get paid. Your time matters, and the GIG Impact Series is fully funded.
Here's the part that pays off later: once you've completed a GIG, you have something specific to talk about. You can tell an interviewer about the work you did for a brand and what you learned from being part of the project. Sometimes one opportunity is all it takes to make the next application easier.
It can also help you figure out what kind of work you actually enjoy. That matters when you're still in college. You have time to explore, and every experience can make your next move a little clearer.
🤝 Why brands want students involved
Gen Z knows what gets Gen Z’s attention because we’re living it.
That perspective is valuable to companies that want to understand their audience better. The GIG Impact Series gives brands a chance to work directly with students and gives students a chance to have their ideas taken seriously.
It’s also pretty cool to go from knowing a brand as a customer or follower to actually working with the people behind it.
📅 Ready to apply?
Applications for the H\FC GIG Impact Series are now open until September 30.
The program will officially kick off October 12, running through November 6.
Take a look at the GIGs, find the one that catches your attention, and send in your application. Apply to one or apply to all of them; it’s up to you!
You never know which opportunity could end up being the one that gives you your first start.
