Encha is an organic Japanese matcha brand. Nearly all our sales are online, so we know very little about how matcha actually works in cafés.
In this GIG you will visit 6 cafes near you that serve matcha, leave samples with the owner or manager, and ask them a short set of questions about what matcha they use, where they buy it, and how much they go through.
We'll ship you a carton of 20 bags of our Sweetened Matcha Latte (500g), a small sample of our Ceremonial Latte, and printed one-pagers. Leave a bag, a Ceremonial Latte sample and a one-pager at each cafe. Any bags left over are yours to give away for free however you like, ideally to more cafes. (they just can't be sold).
Ideally you like matcha and spend time in cafes already. We'll send you the questions and a short guide before you go.
Expect about 1.5 hours per cafe including travel and writeup, so roughly 12 hours over the month from when your box arrives. $250 for all 6, paid on completion, plus a $50 bonus for every cafe you visited that places its first order with us by 31 Dec!
Expected Outputs
Notes from all cafés. What matcha they use, who supplies it, how much they go through, and roughly what they pay.
Samples and a one-pager left at each café with the owner or manager, not a barista on shift.
A named contact at each café, email or Instagram, so we can follow up.
