How would you make matcha feel fresh and exciting to a Gen Z audience without leaning on overdone aesthetics?
Let’s be real it is already fresh exciting and unfortunately overdone but why not lean into that. Matcha is everywhere right now and that is exactly what makes it powerful for Gen Z because trends that feel saturated are often the ones people engage with the most. In fact social platforms consistently show that highly recognizable food and drink trends generate higher engagement because audiences already understand them and are more likely to interact quickly.Instead of avoiding the aesthetic I would lean into it in a self aware way by showing matcha through humor personality and real life usage rather than just perfect café shots. Think POV videos of “yes I am also part of the matcha crowd” quick chaotic morning routines or honest reviews that break the stereotype while still embracing the trend. This makes the content feel current relatable and shareable while still standing out through voice and storytelling rather than trying to reinvent the visual completely.

What type of short-form content performs best on TikTok in your opinion?
In my opinion, the best performing short form content on TikTok is authentic, relatable, and quickly grabs attention within the first few seconds. Content that feels real such as day in the life videos, behind the scenes moments, and honest product experiences tends to perform well because it builds trust and keeps viewers engaged.I also think storytelling driven content works really well, especially when it is paired with trending audio, strong visuals, and a clear hook. Videos that are simple, visually engaging, and emotionally relatable tend to resonate the most because they feel natural rather than overly produced.
