Gen Z Panel — San Francisco

Home From College Profile Image

How would you answer this question: What signals tell you a brand ‘gets’ Gen Z versus when they’re obviously trying too hard?

A brand “gets” Gen Z when it feels natural, self aware, and community driven rather than overly polished or salesy. You can tell they’re trying too hard when they force slang, jump on every trend late, or talk at people instead of engaging with them. Gen Z responds best to brands that listen, adapt, and show personality without over explaining or pandering.
