I pursued journalism out of a love for the written word and an eagerness to improve my writing abilities.
 
While my interests were in creative writing, I loved journalism for the ability to deep diving weekly into new subjects by interviewing experts and crafting unexpected stories. Four years in the program, I gained expertise in short- and long-form journalism. I have had a variety of stories published for the university newspaper, extensive experience in researching, interviewing, writing, editing, and publishing. I have produced copy for audio, video, newsletters, and social media. I've worked on the back end of the site to upload content with accessible formatting, and supervised the publication of various pieces throughout the newsroom day.&nbsp;
 
As well, I pursued a double minor in film and environmental studies.&nbsp;
 
In spring of 2022, I graduated with high distinction.&nbsp;
