Required to gain at least 10 clinical hours with assigned University of Delaware varsity sports teams over the first half of this spring semester. During these hours I assist with athlete rehabilitation or observe practices. I have learned to operate stim and ultrasound machines, make heat and ice packs, assist with manual lymphatic drainage (flushing), use cupping sets and learn Graston techniques. My primary role is to observe Athletic trainers and Master's students and learn from them, assisting them to the best of my ability. Current cumulative hours are 20.35. These clinical hour opportunities will continue throughout my sophomore and junior years as well as my 2 years in the master’s program if I get in.
