I was studying business media in the creative industries program at TMU. The Creative Industries degree program prepares students for management, leadership and entrepreneurship roles in communication, design, media, entertainment, arts and culture.
I learned the fundamentals of creative industry operations — from how to develop creative ideas into business models, to marketing, finance, distribution, legal agreements, technology, design thinking, etc. The program provides you with direct experience in creative fields including media, design, advertising, live entertainment, fashion, heritage and culture, and visual arts.

Although the school is said to train you in acting for TV &amp; Film, this education has provided me with so much more than that. The classes we take form us into a well rounded actor with a variety of skills that are very useful for us to take into the entertainment industry as we move forward with our careers. Aside from TV acting they teach theater acting, period dance, stage combat, vocal classes, musical theater, crew work, theater history, marketing, voice and speech (IPA) classes, audition technique, improv, script analysis and so much more. I have learned so much from this school and am much more confident going into the entertainment world with the skill set I have now.
