For a 30-second problem-solution UGC video, I'd structure it like this:

0–3 sec: Hook

Hit the problem immediately.

> “If you’re still struggling with [problem], you need to see this.”

Goal: Stop the scroll.

3–8 sec: Make the problem relatable

Show or describe the frustration.

> “I was constantly dealing with [specific problem], and I had already tried [common alternative] with no luck.”

Goal: Make the viewer think, “That’s literally me.”

8–15 sec: Introduce the solution

Bring in the product naturally.

> “Then I tried [product], and what immediately stood out was [specific benefit].”

Show the product while you're talking. Don't just hold it like evidence in a courtroom.

15–24 sec: Demonstrate + prove

Actually use the product.

> “I use it by [demonstration], and after [time/use], I noticed [specific result].”

Use close-ups, B-roll, screen recordings, or before/after footage here.

24–27 sec: Personal verdict

Give a believable opinion.

> “Honestly, I wish I'd found this sooner.”

Keep it natural. You don't need to scream about how life-changing shampoo is.

27–30 sec: CTA

One simple action.

> “If you're dealing with [problem], check out [product] and see if it works for you.”

The entire flow:

Problem → Frustration → Solution → Demonstration → Result → CTA

The key is that the hook creates curiosity, the demonstration creates belief, and the result creates desire. That is what turns a 30-second clip from “content” into something a brand can actually use as an ad.
