PLEASE SHARE A stem TOPIC that YOU'RE PASSIONATE ABOUT AND HOW YOU WOULD INCORPORATE IT INTO YOUR CONTENT.
I’m really passionate about pharmaceutical sciences and drug development, particularly how medicines go from research in the lab to products that impact people’s lives. I think it’s a STEM topic that’s not often explored in a fun or accessible way, especially for students who are just starting to consider careers in science and healthcare. To incorporate this into content for BBG, I’d create short, engaging videos that break down complex concepts into relatable, visual stories. For example: A “behind-the-scenes” style video explaining how a medicine is developed, highlighting the science, the teamwork, and the technology involved. Quick, curiosity-driven clips that answer questions like, “Did you know it takes X years to develop a single drug?” or “Here’s how lab research turns into real-life treatments,” paired with fun graphics or experiments. Personal storytelling about my own experiences in pharmacy placements to show what a STEM career in healthcare actually looks like day-to-day, making it relatable for other young women and non-binary students. The goal would be to make STEM feel exciting, approachable, and full of opportunities, showing that careers in science can be creative, impactful, and accessible.

What are you up to This semester (internships, extra-curriculars etc.)?
This semester I recently completed a placement in community pharmacy, where I gained hands-on experience supporting patients and working alongside healthcare professionals. It was a great opportunity to apply what I’ve been learning during my degree while developing communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills in a real healthcare setting. Over the summer, I’m hoping to gain experience in industrial pharmacy through an internship so I can explore the pharmaceutical industry further, particularly areas like drug development, manufacturing, and how medicines are brought to market. Alongside my studies, I’m also interested in creating content and sharing my journey as a student in a STEM field. I enjoy making content that breaks down complex topics in a way that feels relatable and encourages other young women and non-binary students to feel more confident pursuing careers in science and technology. I’m passionate about showing that STEM paths can look different for everyone and that there are many exciting opportunities within fields like healthcare and pharmaceuticals.
