What's a college holiday moment that you're excited for?
I’m a full-on Christmas movie fanatic — like, Hallmark to Home Alone to the deeply underrated classics. In addition to this I'm a certified homebody, sometimes. So my pre-finals holiday game plan is to host the coziest movie marathon with my friends. Walk with me now: everyone piled into my apartment, hot drinks flowing, cookies in the oven, an actually decent home cooked meal, and my place transformed into a chaotic but magical pillow/blanket fortress. Please tell me that doesn’t sound perfect. This year has really made me appreciate the little community I’ve built at USC. These people have carried me through so much, and I want them to feel that love back. A night of movies and comfort food might seem simple, but to me it feels like the right way to say, “I’m grateful for you.” College moves fast and faster than anyone warns you, and these are the moments we’ll look back on when life gets heavy. I feel so lucky to be here, at this school, with these friends. There’s something about gathering with my favorite people, good food, and nostalgic movies that reminds me why this season, and this chapter of my life, matters so much.

What social media platforms do you find most effective for beauty content and why?
TikTok has completely reshaped the way I learn about beauty. Instead of guessing what might work for me, I get real life tips from creators whose skin, style, and experiences actually reflect mine. It feels less like scrolling an app and more like having a personalized guide or handbook in grasp. Just recently I watched Toni Bravo’s ( the blush queen) makeup routine, and because we share a similar skin tone, I finally felt like I was seeing something that fit me perfectly. I tried her style the next morning and was shocked at how much softer my face and features looked. I fell in love. It made me realize how long I’d been doing things without seeking representation I needed. That’s the power of TikTok. It gives visibility to people and perspectives that weren’t always present in traditional beauty spaces. Even my millennial sister didn’t grow up with this kind of access. Short-form video makes beauty feel approachable, honest, and shared. It isn’t just about content it’s about community formation, and it genuinely changes how people see themselves, including myself.
