How would you make matcha feel fresh and exciting to a Gen Z audience without leaning on overdone aesthetics?

I would focus on making matcha feel personal, realistic, and part of everyday life rather than overly curated. Instead of relying on overdone “clean girl” aesthetics, I’d create content around relatable routines, quick recipes, study days, wellness habits, and authentic reactions that feel natural to Gen Z audiences. I think combining creativity, humor, and trend-aware editing with a genuine lifestyle approach would make the brand feel fresh, approachable, and modern.

What type of short-form content performs best on TikTok in your opinion?

In my opinion, the best-performing short-form content on TikTok feels authentic, visually satisfying, and easy to relate to. For an at-home matcha brand, I think calming lifestyle content, aesthetically pleasing drink-making shots, honest reactions, and “part of my routine” style videos perform especially well because they make viewers feel connected to both the product and the experience. Content that combines strong visuals, trending audio, and a personal touch tends to keep audiences engaged and encourage shares and saves.
