Designed and optimized single-molecule FRET assays to interrogate the mechanism of chaperone-action of the human Hsp70 system. Designed, expressed and purified a series of protein-folding sensors to probe how chaperones work to refold different domains of a client protein. Developed automated pipelines for the analysis and visualisation of large, complex datasets in Python and Matlab. Worked under the supervision of Prof Heath Ecroyd, Dr Nicholas Marzano and D.Prof Antoine van Oijen.

Received First Class Honours for my thesis titled: Investigating mechanisms of molecular chaperone function at the single-molecule level. Under the supervision of Prof Heath Ecroyd and D.Prof Antoine van Oijen.
