This programme provides theoretical and applied knowledge of how to conduct rigorous sociological research in the digital age. I have specialized research experience in qualitative and mixed methods, specifically in researching social issues of extremism and ideological conflict. I have conducted research on transphobia and other anti-minority ideologies, social media platforms, and social issues relevant to the Internet. I have fundamental technological and analytical skills to conduct specialized research and analysis.&nbsp;
 
During this year, I was elected as a student representative for the MSc Digital Sociology program, participated as speaker and panelist in the university’s New Directions in Sociology conference, and received the Edinburgh Award for Professional Development with Leadership as recognition for facilitating a study group for ESL students in the School of Social and Political Sciences.
 
I graduated with Merit in accordance with the UK marking system.

I graduated with a Concentration in Social Inequality, and with a Minor in Marketing. 

I received grades with Honors in all courses under this university’s department of sociology, and was recognized in the Chancellor’s List and Dean’s List for high marks during my undergraduate career.
 
My capstone research at the bachelors level utilized ‘netnography’, digital ethnographic research, to observe recruitment and radicalization among extremist subcultures online.
